Recipe: Chick Pea and Tomato Curry with Hummus

Ingredients:
The Curry:
2 cans chick peas,
2 cups of basmati rice
2 cans of whole tomatos
1 good sized onion
1 bunch of cilantro
3 or 4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp Curry Podwer
1 tsp garam masala
The Hummus:
1can of chickpeas,
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 tbsp of cumin
juice of one lemon
1/8 cup of tahini
salt and pepper to taste
bread for dipping
For the Hummus:
Drain the can of chick peas keeping half the can full of water, blend the chick peas and water with the remaining ingredients until it becomes a paste. Dip some bread in it and enjoy
For the Curry:
In a large pot, saute your onions and garlic with some salt and pepper. Then toss in the chick peas, tomatoes and spices and let is cook at medium heat for at least 20 minutes (the longer the better). Serve with rice and top with fresh chopped cilantro.
